Week 5 for the 0-4 teams just completed. Two teams were dropped as a result of a win, while four teams remain. Let’s take a look…
We will continue to assess the oh-fer teams until none remain. We’ll give you our thoughts and then rate them by color with Green = highly unlikely the team will go 0-16, Yellow = possibility the team will go 0-16 and Red = mark them down for 0-16.
Tennessee Titans (0-5) – Lost to Peyton Manning and team 31-9. Vince Young saw some action in the 4th quarter as Kerry Collins was pulled. Never seen a team drop so many passes before. At some point Jeff Fisher needs to think for the future and let Vince Young take the reins (maybe not the next game but very soon). In terms of their oh-fer possibility, we still think the schedule bodes well for potential win(s) against the Jags, Bills, and Rams. TYP Assessment…GREEN = unlikely for 0-16 record
Kansas City Chiefs (0-5) – The other oh-fer in the AFC. Thought they were going to pull off an upset against the Cowboys after sending the game into overtime. Unfortunately, they gave up the big play to Miles Austin (who?), who had a 60-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown downing the Chiefs 26-20. Matt Cassel is improving. Larry Johnson’s stats…21 carries, 37 yards (1.8 yds per carry). Would it be possible to return back some (or all) of that salary and bonus LJ? Talk about taking the money and running or in his case not running. TYP Assessment…YELLOW = possibility for 0-16 record
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-5) – The Bucs started Josh Johnson and he responded with 2 touchdowns…but 3 interceptions. They lost 33-14 to the Eagles. Both of Johnson’s touchdowns went to Kellen “I’m a soldier!” Winslow. At some point, Winslow has to be thinking why is he getting punished for going from one lousy organization (Cleveland Browns) to another. Schedule doesn’t look favorable, although they get to face turnover machine (but not oh-fer) Jake Delhomme and the Panthers. TYP Assessment…YELLOW= possibility for 0-16 record
St. Louis Rams (0-5) – The other NFC oh-fer team on our list which got blown out today, 38-10 against Brett Favre and the Vikings. Their point differential this season is an amazing 112 points! We’re not even sure the Rams could beat a college team. Of all of the oh-fer teams, this is one is by far the worst. We believe the Rams will be this year’s Detroit Lions. The only somewhat bright spot is still Steven Jackson (our fantasy guy) with 451 rushing this season. TYP Assessment…RED = high possibilty for 0-16 record
